Replacement of existing steel pipes with polyethylene pipes and replacement of 2 reduction units in the municipality of Ficarazzi (PA), in order to improve the distribution of pressions, carry out the renewal  of the pipeline  materials and to bring the network up to standards  with the new ones directives  on the matter. The choice of pipes  to be  replaced  was also made to ensure the electric continuity  of the steel pipes , which were not affected in processing: some steel  sections were replace with polyethylene pipes due  to lack of electric continuity in the new configuration that took over the network.

Main works performed:

1. Replacement for renewal  of materials on pipelines in BP and in MPB
2. Replacement of pipes, from steel to polyethylene, due to lack of cathodic protection in the new configuration
3. Replacement of pipelines from steel to polyethylene and conversion of pipelines from BP to MPB
