Solesi S.p.A. obtains ISO 37001 certification, a management system for combating corruption

Two hundred and thirty-seven billion euros: this is the value calculated by a recent American study (NGO Rand, ed) of the annual wealth lost in Italy due to corruption.

Italy is the country with the highest level of corruption in Europe, at least in absolute terms and not as a percentage of GDP. The cost that Italy is forced to pay every year due to the high level of corruption is certainly the highest, and translates into less foreign investment in the country and less employment. Ultimately, less development and growth for the country.

Our organization is fully aware that the phenomenon of corruption represents a heavy obstacle to the economic, political and social development of a country and a heavy distortion of the rules, fairness and transparency of the markets. For this reason Solesi S.p.A. does not tolerate corruption and fully warns of the commitment to guarantee actions and conduct based exclusively on criteria of transparency, correctness and moral integrity, which prevent any attempt at corruption.

As proof of this, the management has decided to demonstrate its commitment by choosing to implement and certify a system in accordance with ISO 37001, an objective it achieved in August 2020.

ISO 37001: 2016, Anti-Bribery Management Systems, which is an important safeguard in the prevention and fight against corruption, favours on the one hand the growth of a culture of transparency and integrity and on the other the development of effective measures to prevent and deal with corruption, as well as making the corporate commitment public to its Stakeholders.

The adoption of a management system compliant with ISO 37001 increases the effectiveness of the tools to combat the corruption phenomenon, integrating well with other company systems, including the Organizational Model 231, adopted by Solesi in 2015.
