Solesi S.p.A. obtains ISO 50001 certification for energy management
19 August 2020
In June 2011, the International Organization for Standardization issued the ISO 50001: 2011 standard, defining with it the new international standard for energy management. ISO 50001 is a globally valid standard, based on the implementation of high efficiency energy policies, with a view to continuous improvement.
Solesi S.p.A. since 2014, the year in which the Legislative Decree of 4 July 2014 n. 102 introduces the obligation for large companies and small and medium-sized companies with high energy consumption to carry out an energy audit, has voluntarily decided to carry out an energy monitoring of their activities and to adopt procedures aimed at improving energy performance.
At the beginning of 2020, Solesi S.p.A. has decided to include among its objectives the implementation and certification of a system aimed at optimizing its energy performance, a goal I reached in August 2020. For a company like Solesi SpA to obtain ISO 50001 certification on a voluntary basis, as it is not an “obligated subject”, it means growth, technical awareness, competitiveness, ethics. Obtaining the certificate confirms the company’s strong commitment to continuous improvement through the use of more efficient and sustainable energy.
